Final Round 314 Leaves CSUN 14th at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

NORTHRIDGE, CA - The CSUN women's golf team carded a final round 314 and slipped from 10th to 14th at the conclusion of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic Friday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ.
After posting team rounds of 307-305 on Thursday, the Matadors were without leading scorer Ysabel Tran Friday and their team score of 314 dropped them four spots on the leaderboard.
Alice Duan wound up as CSUN's low scorer as she matched her best round of the tournament Friday with a four-over 76. Duan opened Thursday with a 77 before carding back-to-back 76's over the final two rounds tying her for 41st place at 13-over 229. She posted three birdies on Friday giving her six for the tournament.Â
Kayla Yn finished the tournament with a five-over 77 leaving her in a tie for 57th at 17-over 233. Shenna DeLeon posted a final round six-over 78 to finish in a tie for 63rd at 18-over 234 and Savanah Cooper closed with an 11-over 83 to finish tied for 68th at 19-over 235. Tran, who was forced to withdraw in the final round, wound up 99th.
Sacramento State's Julia Becker and Nevada's Kaitlin Collon shared individual medalist honors at three-under 213 while UC Irvine captured team honors at even-par 874.
