CSUN Travels To Delaware & George Washington

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's tennis team heads East for Spring Break as the Matadors travel to Delaware and George Washington this week.

CSUN faces Delaware Tuesday. The dual is scheduled for 11 a.m. PT, however, if rain forces the meet inside, action will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT. The Blue Hens are 5-5 after dropping a 5-2 decision to Virginia Tech on Saturday. Brooke Pilkington is 13-5 in singles play, 7-1 in duals. Sara Komer and Pilkington are the team leaders in doubles' victories (12-5).

The Matadors head to George Washington on Thursaday. First serve is set for 8 a.m. PT. GW improved to 6-5 on Saturday when the Colonials defeated Morgan State 6-1. Maria Siopacha has posted a season high singles victories so far this season as she is 13-9. Â GW has used a various combination of doubles teams with no duo having more than four victories in 2017-18.

The Matadors were up 2-0 against Drake last Wednesday before rain called a halt to the meet. CSUN just fell short in a pair of duals last weekend. The Matadors were edged by Texas State 4-3 on Friday before losing 4-2 to Harvard on Saturday. Alicia Dinkelmeyer won all three of the singles matches last week and was 2-1 in doubles play.
