- Trailing by nine after Jocelyn Willoughby scored the first basket of the second half for the Cavaliers, CSUN mounted an 8-0 charge that drew the Matadors to within one, 26-25, after Deja Williams sank a pair of free throws.
- CSUN again cut the lead to one when Meghann Henderson put down a three-pointer at the 5:54 mark. ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH JASON FLOWERS
- "We thought we could do some things defensively. We switched from man-to-man to zone, and I thought that gave them some problems. We came out in the second half and we were aggressive in the things we wanted to do. We got to the free-throw line and we attacked the paint. I didn't think we were as aggressive in the fourth quarter on both ends of the floor."
