GAME 1
- CSUN defeated CSU Bakersfield 9-0 to begin the day. The Matadors scored five times in the top of the third, once in the fourth, and three in the top of the seventh.
- James made her first start of the season a memorable one. James carried a no-hitter into the sixth-inning before giving up a leadoff single to Ally Miller. Miller's hit would be the only one that the Roadrunners would record. James struck out seven and walked two, facing only three over the minimum.
- Jaymi Steward went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, and a RBI. Megan Stevens was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in. Kira Cauley went 2-for-5 with a double and four runs batted in. Cassidy FitzGerald was 2-for-4.
- The Matadors dropped a 7-1 decision to Nevada to conclude play. The Matadors had their chances, leaving eight runners on base (compared to five for the Wolfpack).
- Nevada scored twice in the second and two in the third before Kenedee Jamerson doubled in Sami Garcia in the top of the fourth. The Wolfpack capped off the scoring with three in the fifth.
- Cauley and Jessica Alexander both had two hits for the Matadors. Charli McLendon was 3-for-3 with three RBI to pace Nevada.
ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH TAIRIA FLOWERS
- "We saw some good things and some bad things today. We need to become a little more consistent with our effort and attitude. When we take care of the little things, good things happen."
