HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mariah Mazon's two-out, two-run home run in the top of the first broke the seal for the Beavers. Missy Nunes' RBI single with two out in the top of the second increased the lead for Oregon State to three.
- Jaymi Steward led off the CSUN fourth with a double for the first hit of the game for the Matadors. Pinch-hitter Fallon Molnar hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh for Oregon State.
- Megan Stevens led off the bottom of the seventh with a base hit and advanced to third by the right fielder, Ashton Phillps,. Jessica Alexander singled in Stevens to get the Matadors on the scoreboard. Alyssa Vazquez reached on an error by second baseman Xiao Gin, allowing Alexander to reach third.
- The third error of the inning, this time by first baseman Morgan Allen, allowed Alexander to score, making it a 5-2 game. Journey Rojas' line out to left was the first out of the inning. Cassidy FitzGerald's ground out to short scored pinch-runner Pudi Hernandez for the final run of the game for the Matadors. Aaliyah Swan struck out to end the game.
