NORTHRIDGE, Calif.--CSUN hosts Long Beach State this weekend to conclude a six-game softball home stand.

The series begins Friday with a single game that gets underway at 1 p.m. Play concludes Saturday at 1 p.m. with a doubleheader. With no fans allowed in the stands, you can follow Friday's game via an audio broadcast featuring Brandon Marcus.

Saturday's doubleheader will be streamed by BigWest.tv again with Marcus on the call. All links will available on GoMatadors.com. On Saturday, CSUN is Lacing Up 4 Pediatric Cancer to help bring awareness to the Go4theGoal Foundation. Suzy Brookshire was named Big West Conference Player of the Week on Mar. 29 after becoming the first player in Big West and LBSU history to have a three-homer game, doing so last Monday against UC Riverside. In her four-game week, Brookshire hit .462 with four homers, 10 RBI, and an eye-opening 1.385 slugging percentage. She is the conference leader in home runs with five and is second in the BWC in RBI with 19.

Shannon Haddad was selected Big West Pitcher of the Week Mar. 29. She did not give up a run in 12 innings of work last week. She allowed just eight hits in three appearances and struck out 11. Haddad has posted four wins this season and is third in the Big West in ERA (1.44). This is the 128th, 129th, and 130th meetings between CSUN and LBSU with the Beach leading the all-time series 67-50.

CSUN (2-4, 2-4 Big West) is coming off a 1-2 series in the home opener against Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine defeated the Matadors 5-1 in the opener last Friday. Hawai'i defeated CSUN 12-0 to begin Saturday's doubleheader. The Matadors came from behind in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Rainbow Wahine 4-3 to cap off the weekend off. Kenedee Jamerson recorded the game-winning RBI as Eryka Gonzales tossed a complete-game three-hitter.

Sophomore Savannah Favre had a strong weekend Mar. 26-27 against Hawai'i. She hit .500 against the Rainbow Wahine. She reset her career-high for most hits in a game with three (3-for-4) in game one against Hawaii. She added a .600 slugging and a .545 on-base percentage for the weekend. On the year, Favre enters the weekend as the team leading in batting with a .400 average. She has scored three times, the second-most on the team. Â
