NORTHRIDGE, Calif.--The CSUN Women's Tennis team opened the 2022 dual season with a 7-0 victory over Westmont College Saturday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex.

The Matadors swept three matches to earn the doubles point. Winning at No. 1 were Jolene Coetzee and Ana Isabel Fraile Toboso. At No. 2 Magdalena Hedrzak and Sasha Turchak were victorious while Ekaterina Repina and Yuliia Zhytelna.
The Matadors won all six singles matches in straight sets. Picking up the wins were Repina (No. 1), Coetzee (No. 2), Fraile Toboso (No. 3), Hedrzak (No. 4), Turchak (No. 5), and Zhytelna (No. 6). Saturday marked the 17th consecutive victory for CSUN against Westmont in the all-time series (17-0).
