The 26th minute would see two Mustang shots hit the crossbar. The first attempt came from Monserrat Hernandez Marquez from the left wing, which Mauldin was tracking from her post. Just 59 seconds later, Camille Lafaix hit nearly the same mark on the crossbar from the left corner of the box.

GAME NOTES
The Mustangs (5-6-1, 2-1-1 Big West) outshot the Matadors (2-11-1, 0-4-1 Big West) 19-2 and held a 9-0 edge in shots on goal. Cal Poly would earn five of the seven corner kicks. The Matadors were whistled for 10 of the 19 fouls in the match.
The group of Angelica Claiborne, Yoshi Rubalcava, Gabriela Robles, Ashly Torres and Kacie Garrity played the full 90 minutes for CSUN. Erin Anderson played 73 minutes off the bench.
ACCORDING TO COACH CHRISTINE JOHNSON
"I'm disappointed with the result. We did pretty well in the first half and we just lost momentum. Once we lost momentum, it continued to trickle down pretty quickly. I thought our defense played great. They've been good, and they've been put under a lot of pressure, which they've handled pretty well."
"We need to regroup and make a quick turnaround. We're already thinking about Tuesday's training."
