NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN men's and women's cross country teams will enter The Big West Championships Saturday. The championships will be run in Riverside on UC Riverside's Ag Ops Course.
The top 10 in each race will earn All-Conference honors. Coverage on ESPN+ begins at 8:30 a.m. with the women's race. The men's race runs at 9:15 a.m.
THE LAST TIME OUT
Camilo Torres recorded the top CSUN men's time at the Santa Clara Broncos Invitational Oct. 15. Torres ran 24:30.4, the second fastest 8k performance by a Matador runner since 2000, to receive 47th place points. CSUN finished 17th in the team competition (448).
Nicole Contreras was the top CSUN women's performer. She ran 21:58.3, lowering her season-best by almost a second. She was awarded 97th-place points. Her time is the seventh fastest by a Matador in the 6k since 2000. CSUN finished 24th (682).
