CSUN - 2023 (Sophomore)
Contreras competed in all five races, leading CSUN runners twice ... topped CSUN performers with a 5k time of 19:08.3 at the Big West Preview to take 41st-place overall (9/1/23) ... set a new personal record and posted the sixth-best 6k time in school history at 21:31.6 at the UCR Invitational to finish with 33rd-place points and 41st overall (9/16/23) ... took 47th-place at the Big West Championships with a time of 22:41.2 ... finished the season by running a 23:10.3 at the NCAA West Regional (11/10/23) ... collected Big West All-Academic Team honors.
CSUN - 2022 (Freshman)
Was the top CSUN performer at the Big West Championships, running 22:10.5 to earn 45th-place points (51st overall) ... ran 22:21.8 at the NCAA West Regional (221st overall) ... ran a season-best 6k time of 21:58.3 at the Bronco Invitational which was the seventh fastest in school Division history ... posted season best finish of fourth at the Pepperdine Waves Invitational (23:32.5) ... posted a 16:17.6 on the 4k course at the Anteater Open to begin the season.

Daughter of Efrain and Alicia Contreras … brother Noah is a member of the CSUN cross country and track and field teams … favorites include Katelyn Tuhoy, Hunter x Hunter, Princess Mononoke, Japanese Food, Ikimonogakari, and Joe Hisaishi … chose CSUN to grow as a student and as an athlete, surrounded by people I know … says greatest sports moment so far is racing unattached without a team or a coach for my first year of college, just being my own source of motivation and realizing my own potential … says the best thing about being an athlete is the feeling of accomplishment and the motivation to keep improving … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is maintaining focus on your goals … the best advice she has been given in trust the process … her advice to young people is to start saving money.
