NORTHRIDGE, Calif.--CSUN returns home to close out the non-conference men's soccer slate with a pair of matches this week. The Matadors (3-2-1) host Saint Mary's Wednesday night before welcoming UTRGV to Matador Soccer Field on Saturday. Both contests begin at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ with Ghizal Hasan on the call.

ABOUT SAINT MARY'S
The Gaels bring a four-game winning streak to Northridge after Saint Mary's defeated Cal Poly 1-0 last Saturday in San Luis Obispo. Saint Mary's is 5-2.

Jack Vestberg has scored a team-high three goals while Riley Lynch leads the squad in points (10) and assists (4) to go along with two goals. He also leads the team in shots with 10.

Keith Oladapo and Jack Landreth have both posted a shutout in goal for the Gales in 2022. Oladapo is 3-2-1 with 14 saves while Landreth is 2-0 with five saves. Â

Saint Mary's defeated CSUN 3-1 last season in Moraga. This is the 10th all-time meeting between the two clubs with the Matadors leading the all-time series 5-4.

The Vaqueros broke a three-game losing streak last Saturday when UTRGV defeated Omaha 4-1 at home. The Vaqueros are 2-3-1 overall.

Jan Engles leads the team in goals (2) and points (6). Jason Robles has a team-high three assists. Kgodiso Sukati and Yusuf Cuecegoglu have both taken a team-high 12 shots.

Simon Madsen is 1-3-1 in goal, making 12 saves in five starts. Alexis Gonzales is 1-0 and has a save in one start in between the pipes for UTRGV.

This is the first meeting between the Vaqueros (a member of the Western Athletic Conference) and CSUN in men's soccer.
