CSUN (8-12) opens at home Tuesday when the Matadors host Colgate in a 10 a.m. doubleheader on ESPN+

The Matadors open Big West play this weekend with a three-game series at Cal Poly. The Saturday doubleheader begins at 1 p.m., with the Sunday single game getting underway at 1 p.m.

ABOUT COLGATE
The Raiders improved to 8-12 by defeating Brown (7-1) and LMU (3-1) at LMU on Sunday.

Elizabeth Nitka is batting a team-high .289. Adrienne Nardone leads the team in home runs (3), while Kara Fusco has driven a club-best 13 runs.
Â
Bailey Misken (5-4) and Alexa Acker (2-6) have combined to throw 93 of Colgate's 119.2 innings of competition this season. Misken has struck out 53 in 61 innings of work.

Tuesday is the first time that the teams are playing softball.

ABOUT CAL POLYÂ
Due to the weather, Cal Poly canceled their Mustang Classic over the weekend. The Mustangs are 7-8 entering Big West play.

Julia Barnett leads the team in batting (.378), home runs (1), slugging percentage (.465), and hits (16). Caroline Allman's 12 RBI pace the team.

Sophia Ramuno has carried the bulk of the Cal Poly pitching this season. She is 5-4 with a 4.65 ERA in 52.2 innings. Ramuno has struck out 53 and walked 25.

CSUN swept the three-game series against the Mustangs last season in Northridge. The Matadors lead the all-time series 86-54-1.
