CSUN used four players at goalkeeper against Carthage, starting with Lopez who saved three shots and allowed no goals. Pal picked ip a save in the second quarter while Jessica Matkovich had a save in the third period and Bacoyanis saved two attempts in the fourth quarter.
ACCORDING TO COACH MATT WARSHAW
"This morning's battle with Harvard was just that, a true battle. I'm proud of how we stuck to the game plan and fought our way back into the game in the second half. But we picked a bad day to have a bad shooting day. Going seven for 31 shooting will rarely equate to a victory. Even with the poor shooting day we were in the game until the very end with chances in the fourth quarter that we just couldn't capitalize on.
"The chemistry and culture we've created was evident in the Carthage game and it was special to see. Overall, an outstanding weekend for the program going 3-1 and building momentum mid season. One more non-conference game Tuesday versus Villanova for our home opener and then two home Big West games next week."
