GARDINER GOES 9.1 VS UC DAVIS
Allie Gardiner pitched 9.1 of the 21 innings against UC Davis Apr. 14-15. Gardiner tied her CSUN career high with 5.2 innings in game two on Friday. She picked up the victory in Saturday's 7-5 win.Â

All 19 of Gardiner's appearances this season have been out of the bullpen, where she has posted a 4-2 record with one save. Her 2.73 ERA this week is the lowest on the pitching staff. Opponents are batting .234 during her 51.1 innings of work. She has struck out 21.

WHATMAN GETS HITÂ
Shaylan Whatman has been hit by a pitch 12 times this season which is the eighth most in a season by a Matadors' player at the Division I level. She leads the Big West in the category and ranks 12th in Division I (0.34 per game).

She is now up .338 overall and .382 in Big West plate. Whatman leads the team in home runs (4) and is tied for the team lead in RBI (19) with Mikayla Carman.Â

Whatman paces the club in slugging percentage (.600) and on-base percentage (.481).

CARMAN IS CONSISTENT
Mikayla Carman has been a consistent offensive presence for CSUN. The sophomore left fielder is up to 10th in the Big West in hitting with a .339 average.

Carman's three triples are tied with three others for the fifth most in the league. The total is the ninth most in school history by a Matador at the Division I level.

She is tied for fifth, with four others in the conference for ninth in runs scored (22) and two others for ninth in hits (37).Â
