ABOUT LMUÂ
Led by former CSUN head coach Tairia Flowers, the Lions last played on Mar. 18 due to weather when Fresno State defeated LMU 3-2 in Los Angeles. The Lions are 13-15.
Amanda Ta'amu leads the team in hitting at .305. She has smacked three home runs and driven in 14 runs this season. Morgan DeBard has a team-high five home runs while freshman Izzy Jamgotchian has a club-best 18 RBI.
Seven pitchers have seen time in the circle for LMU. Jenna Perez and Jessica Hubbard have each won five games. Perez is 10th in Division I in strikeouts (137), 12th in strikeouts per game (10.7), and 75th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.42).
CSUN and the Lions are playing for the 33rd time, with the Matadors leading the all-time series 24-8.
CSUN REACHES 1500
CSUN became the 13th NCAA Division I softball program to win 1,500 games on Apr. 1, 2023, when the Matadors defeated Long Beach State 7-1.
The Matadors rank 13th among all Division I programs in program victories and have a record of 1500-974-12 as of Apr. 1. The victory also clinched the first series win for CSUN against Long Beach State since 2015.
CARMAN'S HOT WEEKEND

Carman hit .625 against the Beach (5-8). She posted a .750 slugging percentage and a .700 on-base percentage in three games. The sophomore left fielder drove in four runs and scored once.
