Big West Honors 29 Student-Athletes From CSUN

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---A total of 29 CSUN student-athletes who competed in the Fall sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball were honored for their work in the classroom and on the field as members of the 2023 Big West Fall Academic All-Conference team on Tuesday.
To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade point average, complete one full academic year at the member institution before the season for which the award is being received and compete in at least 50 percent of the institution's contests in the student-athletes respective sport.

Women's soccer had the most honorees with 11 student-athletes earning recognition. Men's soccer had seven, women's cross country brought in five, and men's cross country and women's volleyball both had three each. CSUN increased its total of Academic All-Conference Team honorees, improving from 22 recipients last year.
A total of 61 student-athletes across The Big West were honored on the Fall Academic All-Conference Team. The Big West recognizes individuals academically per season – fall, winter, and spring – for all conference-sponsored sports. The Spring Academic All-Conference Team honored student-athletes from baseball, beach volleyball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, men's volleyball, and women's water polo. The Winter Academic All-Conference Team consisted of men's and women's basketball student-athletes.
