NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN head softball coach Charlotte Morgan has announced the addition of pitcher Elisa Gulfin for the 2024-25 season. Gulfin joins the Matadors after beginning her collegiate career last season at the University of Nebraska.
"We are thrilled to have Elisa join our Matador family," said Morgan. "She has competed against top players in the country, and we love her drive to want to be the best in the circle to help her team win. Elisa and her family are exactly who we want in our family. I can't wait to see her help contribute in the circle and in so many ways."
A 5-8 right-handed pitcher from Brea, Gulfin used a redshirt during her freshman season with Nebraska. While at Nebraska, Gulfin earned the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team honor, which is awarded to student-athletes that complete service projects or mentoring activities while maintaining a good academic and athletic standing in the academic calendar year.
Prior to college, Gulfin was a two-time team captain at Saint Paul High School where she garnered Del Ray League Pitcher of the Year honors along with first-team all-area and first-team all-league accolades. Gulfin posted a 3.06 ERA with 113 strikeouts in over 116 innings pitched during her senior season. She was also named to the Honor Roll and recognized as a high achieving scholar-athlete at Saint Paul.
Gulfin joins Makenzi Padilla, Larissa Flores and Rhea Furtado in the CSUN Softball 2024-25 recruiting class.
