
CSUN Falls in Straight Sets to League-Leading UC Davis

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - CSUNÂ Women's Volleyball fell in straight sets to UC Davis, 25-7, 25-16, 25-16, in a Big West match on Saturday night at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
Leah Miller led the Matadors with nine kills, hitting .227 on a team-high 22 swings. Hailey Brockway came off the bench to add six kills (.056) and four digs, while Hayley Ogden chipped in four kills. Setter Jan Marie Duhaylungsod paced the offense with 13 assists and nine digs, just missing consecutive double-doubles, while Katie Kolar added nine assists and four digs. Junior libero Paige Sentes was a bright spot for the Matadors, collecting a match-high 15 digs in the loss.
CSUN (11-8, 4-4 Big West) struggled to find rhythm offensively, finishing with a .000 hitting percentage, while the visiting Aggies (12-4, 8-0) hit an efficient .343. The Matadors' best set came in the third, when they improved to a .077 clip and sided out at 52 percent, but UC Davis maintained control behind a balanced attack and 11 total team blocks.
The Aggies, who remain unbeaten in Big West play, were led by Breeze Czapinski who tallied 15.5 points on 11 kills and eight blocks (1 solo, 7 assists). Jade Light added 14 kills to lead the UC Davis offense.

- With 15 digs in the match, Sentes increased her career total to 1,034 digs.
- CSUN slips to 22-21 all-time against UC Davis and 10-10 in 20 matches all-time in Northridge.
