Katie Kolar appeared in all 29 matches and 116 sets in her first season at CSUN after transferring from West Virginia ... started all 29 matches for the Matadors at setter, posting a team-high 1,134 assists while averaging 9.78 assists per set ... ranked fourth among Big West setters in assists per set ... was a two-time Big West Setter of the Week (Sept. 2, Sept. 23) ... also finished her debut season at CSUN with 318 digs (2.74 dps), 82 kills (0.71 kps), 43 blocks (0.37 bps), and 26 aces (0.22 saps) ... also ranked 13th among Big West players in digs per set (2.74) ... led all Matador players with 17 double-doubles on the season ... handed out a season-high 61 assists in CSUN's five-set win over San Francisco (Sept. 6) ... had 53 assists, 16 digs, four kills, and two aces in her Matador debut against Seattle (Aug. 30) ... posted a season-high six kills on 13 errorless attacks to hit .462 in CSUN's 3-2 win at Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 5) ... scooped up a season-high 19 digs - along with 46 assists and five kills - in a five-set win over UC Riverside (Nov. 16).
WEST VIRGINIA - 2023
Kolar spent the 2023 season at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV ... appeared in seven matches and 12 sets as a true freshman ... posted 32 assists, 12 digs, two aces, and three aces on the season ... had a season-high 17 assists along with two aces in the Mountaineers' 3-0 win over Le Moyne (Aug. 25).
NORMAN NORTH HIGH SCHOOL
Kolar lettered all four years in volleyball at Norman North High School in Norman, Okla. ... earned Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 ... also earned AVCA All-Region and Oklahoma Regionals MVP as a senior ... chosen Norman North High School's Volleyball MVP in 2021 and 2022 and was named Miss Volleyball Oklahoma by VYPE Magazine in 2022 ... Amassed over 1,000 career assists and holds her high school record for kills in one match (25) ... graduated in 2023, earning National Honor Society accolades.
