Â
It was a pitcher's duel the rest of the way, as both women in the circle kept things to a minimum. Carman walked with one out to put the tying run on base in the seventh. Unfortunately, the Matadors couldn't bring the run across, ending the game at 4-3.

"Today was a dogfight between these two teams. We have to be better as an offense. We need to make adjustments faster. Isabella did a great job keeping us in both games. We cleaned up our defense in game two. We just got to be better on offense and this game is about who will make the adjustments faster and get those key hits. We'll regroup and come out stronger tomorrow."
