#17 GCU 5, CSUN 0
The Matadors pushed several matches to decisive third sets but were unable to secure a point against the nationally ranked Antelopes. CSUN's top pair of Hannah Heflin and Maleya Miles battled back after dropping the first set before forcing a tiebreaker against Grand Canyon's Karynn Garrow and Becca Drake. The Matadors claimed the opening set 22–20, but the Antelopes responded with a 21–14 second set and edged the third 15–13 to clinch the flight.
At No. 2, Tia Mendiola and Ainsley Patrick also forced three sets after taking the first 21–17. Grand Canyon's Katie Keefe and Sarah Edler rallied with a 21–11 second set and a 15–10 decision in the tiebreaker. Grand Canyon secured the dual's first point at the No. 3 flight when Jill Rodig and Zaria Henderson fell in straight sets, 21–16, 21–15, to Rhea Kohl and Mae Manthe. The Matadors' Ava Rogers and Dylan Hall nearly delivered a point at No. 4 after winning the first set 21–19, but Jessica Drake and Jordyn Decker came back to take the next two sets, 21–16 and 15–9.
At the fifth flight, Haley Coggins and Daysha Halbert dropped a competitive two-set match to Youna Coens and Grace Goudy, 21–17, 21–16, as the Antelopes completed the sweep.
OREGON 3, CSUN 2
In its final match of the tournament, CSUN earned a pair of victories but fell just short in a 3–2 dual loss to Oregon.
The Matadors claimed points at the No. 4 and No. 5 flights to keep the dual competitive throughout the afternoon.
At No. 5, Coggins and Halbert gave CSUN its first point with a straight-set victory over Landree Coats and Josie Griffiths, winning 21–17, 21–14. CSUN added another point at the No. 4 flight where Rodig and Henderson battled through a three-set thriller against Natasha George and Katrena Koellner. After dropping the opening set 27–25, the Matador pair responded with a 22–20 second-set win before closing the match with a 15–11 tiebreaker victory.
Oregon secured the dual with wins in the top three flights. Heflin and Miles fell in straight sets at No. 1, while Mendiola and Patrick were defeated in two sets at No. 2.
The decisive match came at No. 3, where Rogers and Hall forced a third set after taking the opener 21–18. Oregon's Hanna Bjornson and Sofia Taylor rallied to win the next two sets, 21–16 and 15–13, sealing the dual for the Ducks.
HEAD COACH JEFF HALL SAID
"Really close battle today, we took Oregon right to the edge. We're learning to value one single point when the dual is that close. We will reset this week and prepare for next weekend."
