Zaria Henderson opens her first season with CSUN beach volleyball after transferring from Cal Poly.

UC SAN DIEGO (2021-24)
Henderson competed in indoor volleyball at UC San Diego from 2021-24 ... in her junior season (2023) she appeared in 18 matches, with 12 starts at outside hitter... averaged 2.34 points, 1.91 kills, and 2.00 digs per set... ranked sixth on the team with 15 service aces... recorded 279 service receptions with a .910 reception percentage... had four double-figure kill performances and seven double-figure dig efforts, including three double-doubles... in her sophomore season (2022) started all 32 matches... led the team in aces (32), was second in points (368.0) and kills (321), and third in digs (276)... ranked 16th in Big West in kills per set (2.65) and 17th in points per set (3.04)... finished the season with 12 double-doubles... as a freshman (2021), played in 23 matches with 11 starts, averaging 2.62 points and 2.43 kills per set... had 10 or more kills eight times and recorded five double-doubles.

Henderson was a four-year beach volleyball player at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif ... two-year JV captain and two-year varsity captain ... in high school won Dave Mohn Memorial Volleyball Civ 1 Championships (2018) and 2 CIF Champion rings (2018, 2019)... was nine-time varsity player of the game... also competed for Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball Club... while on team won first place at 18-1s Open Elite Las Vegas Classic (2020), second place at Open Division Girls Volleyball Southern American Regional (2019), third place at 16-1s Open Las Vegas Classic (2019), first place at Open Division Girls Volleyball Southern American Regional (2018), and bronze medal at 18-1s American (2018)... was on honor roll two years in high school.
