Men's Volleyball Welcomes Jelani Conteh for 2026-27 Season

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Head coach Theo Edwards and CSUN Men's Volleyball have announced Jelani Conteh as the second newcomer to join the Matadors for the 2026-27 season.

An international student-athlete, Conteh is a 6-6 opposite hitter from London, England. He preps at The American School in London, and currently plays for the Richmond Volleyball Club U18 team and with the England National Team U18. Conteh's on-court honors include earning Most Valuable Player honors at the London Inter Regionals, and he is a multiple-year MVP of the International Schools Sports Tournament (ISST). Conteh also competed in basketball and track at The American School in London, earning multiple honors as a forward for the Eagles' basketball team.
He was a member of England's U19 team that won a Silver medal at the NEVZA Championships in October 2025, earning a spot on the NEVZA Team of the Tournament. Conteh was also a member of England's U18 bronze medal-winning Grand Prix team.
"An up-and-coming talent out of England, Jelani's upside is tremendous," said Edwards. "We are incredibly excited for his future here at CSUN!"
CSUN Men's Volleyball was ranked 18th in the final AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll of the 2026 season.
