Louison-Roe Collects Academic All-District Honors

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Track & Field's senior Jay Lousion-Roe was named to the Academic All-District Team for the second straight year, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on June 23.Â
The CSC academic awards program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The academic qualifications for the distinction are a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. Nominated student-athletes must be ranked in the top-50 in the region in a single event (indoor or outdoor). All Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA - will be announced in July.Â
A native of Heathcote, NSW, Australia, Louison-Roe wrapped up his second season with CSUN in 2026. He would qualify for the NCAA West First Round in the triple jump for the second consecutive season while he held the top mark in the event in the Big West this season. Louison-Roe finished seventh in the triple jump at the 2026 Big West Championships with a mark of 15.20m (49-10.5). His personal-best in the event this season came at the Mt. SAC Relays where Louison-Roe won for the second straight year with a leap of 15.81m (51-10.5), good enough for seventh-best in school history.Â
In his CSUN career, Louison-Roe won the triple jump title at the 2025 Big West Championships before taking 31st place at the NCAA West First Round that season.Â
Louison-Roe has majored in Economics at CSUN, earning a pair of CSC Academic All-District awards along with Highest Honors distinction on the 2024-25 Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll.Â
College Sports Communicators began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored more than 38,000 deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors.
