2015
Chester Pak played in all 57 games, making 54 starts in his senior season...Led the team with six home runs, 36 runs scored and 11 walks...Hit .275 and finished third on the team in hits, third in on-base percentage, second in RBI and second in walks...Set career highs in games played, home runs, walks and on-base percentage...Matched his personal bests in runs and RBI...Went 3-for-4 with a home run on opening day against Utah Valley (2/13/15)...Had a 3-for-4 day at the plate to go along with a triple, home run and three RBI against George Washington (3/13/15)...Hit a game-winning home run against Pepperdine (3/17/15)...Hit two home runs, drove in three RBI and scored three runs against CSU Bakersfield (3/24/15)...Went 3-for-6 with two doubles at Fresno State (5/5/15)...Had a 7-for-11 series at UC Davis (5/8/15-5/10/15).
2014
Pak started 54 games for the Matadors as a junior and finished second on the team with a .292 batting average. He led the way with 61 hits, 10 doubles, three triples and 28 RBIs. Pak set a career high with four hits on two occasions and matched his career high with three RBIs against West Virginia (3/15). Over a five-game stretch against UCSB, Cal Poly and Cal State Fullerton (5/11-22) Pak 13 hits, including five doubles and a triple. He finished the season with four stolen bases and was among the leaders in the Big West with seven sacrifice flies.
2013
Pak transitioned nicely into his role as the team’s starting right fielder in his second full season with the team. In the Opening Day win over Saint Mary’s, Pak went 2-for-5 at the plate with a double, run scored and two RBIs. He had a hit in all four games of the opening series, one of two players on the team to do so. Pak recorded at least one RBI in all but one game of the series and also scored three runs and had a stolen base. Pak went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in the opener at then-No. 15 Oregon and had a career-high three hits in the opener against UC Riverside. In CSUN’s win over Washington, Pak went 2-for-5 and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. In the series sweep at Hawai’i, Pak went 5-for-12 with a double, RBI and three stolen bases. In the finale against UCSB, Pak hit the first two homers of his career in a 7-1 win. On the season, he hit .272 with 18 RBIs and 12 stolen bases in 55 games played.
2012
Pak made his first starts for CSUN in the series at Sacramento State and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the Opening Day victory. Pak’s double in the top of the ninth set up two runs in the 6-4 win. Had the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning in the win over Northwestern (2/25 - Game 2). Pak went 1-for-3 with two runs scored against San Francisco (3/2). He scored runs against LMU (3/20) and St. Mary’s (3/25 - Gm. 1) and had an RBI in the second game of the doubleheader at St. Mary’s (3/25). Pak pinch hit and went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI at UC Santa Barbara (4/5) and also had an RBI in the finale against the Gauchos (4/7). He pinch ran against CSU Bakersfield (4/10) and scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Pak went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles and also scored the winning run in the bottom of the 11th in a win over #27 Cal Poly (4/14 - Game 1). He went 1-for-3 in the finale against UC Irvine (5/13) and also made a spectacular catch in right field, leaping up to rob a ball at the wall in the top of the eighth when the game was tied as Northridge won in walkoff fashion in the ninth. Pak had a pinch hit single and came around to score in a game against UC Davis (5/19). He went 2-for-4 for CSUN in the season finale at Pacific (5/27).
2011
Chester Pak joined the CSUN Matadors as a freshman and redshirted in 2011.
DIAMOND BAR HIGH SCHOOL
Chester Pak played four years of baseball for the Brahmas of the Sierra League. In 2009 and 2010, he was named to the All-Sierra League First Team and All-Area SGV Second Team, as well as the All-Valley Third Team as a senior.
