Edgar Ortiz is entering his second year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at CSUN and serves as the primary baseball athletic trainer.

Ortiz worked as a training camp intern for the Oakland Raiders in 2016. From 2014 to 2015, Ortiz worked as a certified intern athletic trainer at Villanova University working primarily with baseball and football. He also gained Arena Football League experience as a student intern with the Los Angeles KISS during their inaugural season in 2014.

In 2014, Ortiz graduated Cum Laude from Cal State Fullerton. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training while serving as an athletic training student, working with baseball as a senior.Â

Ortiz is from Compton, California and is currently majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology.
