Simons appeared in 37 games, starting 24 times in center field in his first season at CSUN ... batted .227 with 22 hits, 15 runs, 11 walks, five doubles and three triples ... went 6-for-8 in stolen base attempts ... ranked third in the Big West in triples and seventh in hit-by-pitch (14) ... did not commit an error in 64 chances ... recorded six multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI games ... notched a season-high four hits and two RBI at McNeese State (3/11/22) ... went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple at Loyola Marymount (3/15/22) ... finished with two runs, two RBI, two hit-by-pitch and one RBI vs. Long Beach State (3/25/22) ... went 2-for-6 with two RBI, a triple, a walk and a stolen base at UC Irvine (4/2/22) ... doubled twice and drove in three vs. CSU Bakersfield (4/30/22).
