Earned numerous individual accolades during his prep career including Northern Yosemite League First Team honors in 2015 and 2016, 2015 All-Valley First Team, 2015 Fresno Bee Fab 50, 2014 NYL Honorable Mention, Cal-HI Sports Player of the Week and Most Outstanding Athlete from his high school ... Went 3-0 with 30 strikeouts in 12 innings as his season was shortened due to injury ... Posted a 7-4 record in 2015 ... Struck out 104 batters in 74 innings of work while recording a 1.58 ERA as a junior ... As a junior, he tossed a no-hitter and struck out 21 batters, breaking the school's strikeout record previously held by Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver.
