Brock Moreaux is in his second season as the assistant coach for the CSUN Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country teams. Moreaux works with distance runners and handles administrative responsibilities.Â
Originally from Delcambre, La., Moreaux joined the Matadors after serving as a volunteer assistant on both the track & field and cross country teams at the University of Oklahoma over the past year. With the Sooners, Moreaux worked with the distance runners in various events including the 800m, 1500m, mile run, 3000m-steeplechase, 5000m and 10000m. He also helped guide the women's cross country team to its best Big 12 Conference finish (fourth) in school history.Â
Prior to his time with Oklahoma, Moreaux worked as an intern assistant coach at McNeese State from 2014-15. Moreaux assisted the coaching staff with day-to-day operations for the school's distance programs. On the track, he saw 22 personal bests set for the women's distance runners over five events during the outdoor season.Â
A graduate of McNeese State, Moreaux enjoyed a strong collegiate career with the Cowboys' track & field and cross country teams from 2010-15. During his collegiate career, Moreaux won the 2015 Southland Conference Steelechase Championship and was a member of the 2012 Southland Cross Country Championship team.Â
Moreaux graduated from McNeese State University with a degree in business administration in 2013. He later earned his master's degree in health and human performances from McNeese State in 2015.Â
In addition to his collegiate career, Moreaux runs professionally and is an ambassador for Rabbit Running Apparel and Physiophyx Nutrition.
