2012 (R-JUNIOR): Saw action in three events...finished 62nd in the Big West Championships (31:00.20)...ran season best 8k time of 29:48.70 at the Northridge Invitational (52nd)...was 22nd at the UNLV Invitational (29:48.70).
2011: Did not compete.
2010 (R-SOPHOMORE): Ran in three meets...finishing a season-best 68th at the Northridge Invitational in a time of 29:02.40.
2009 (R-FRESHMAN): Did not compete.
2008 (REDSHIRT): Redshirted the season for the Matadors.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of John Burroughs High School...competed in both cross country and track for coach John Peebles...graduated with a 3.3 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Ana and Eduardo Garcia...major is Cinema-TV Arts...has two sisters, Christy and Susy who both attended CSUN...favorites include the TV show "Heroes", the movies "The Dark Knight" and "Office Space" and the band Sublime...says the best thing about being an athlete is "the cool people you meet"...once met the cast of "Pineapple Express".
