2012 (SENIOR): Named the Big West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, first team NSCAA All-Far West Region, and first team All-Conference...went 14-7 in 2012 with eight shutouts to lead Northridge to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005....recorded a pair of shutouts in the Big West Tournament as the Matadors won the event for the first time in school history...in his final match for CSUN, Abalos picked up his first career assist with a long punt in the NCAA Tournament match against San Diego...finished his career with a spot on multiple all-time lists, including victories (2nd - 30), goals against average (6th - 1.23), shutouts (2nd - 22), matches in goal (2nd - 73) and saves (3rd - 268)...his eight shutouts in 2012 tie for second-most in a single season and his 14 wins are third-most for one campaign.
2011 (JUNIOR): Recorded seven shutouts in his junior season, which tied him for the third-most in one campaign in school history...finished the year with a record of 6-8-3, 69 saves, a 1.18 goals against average and a save percentage of .758..his seven shutouts ranked second in the Big West and he came in at third with 3.83 saves per game...played in 18 of 19 matches and made 17 starts.
2010 (SOPHOMORE): Finished season with a record of 3-12-2...competed in 18 of the Matadors' 19 matches and finished the season with two shutouts, 74 saves (.718 save percentage) and a goals against average of 1.69...ranked sixth in the conference in goals against average, third in saves, seventh in shutouts and save percentage, and fourth in saves per game.
2009 (FRESHMAN): Finished season with a 7-7-2 record, 1.17 GAA, 60 saves, and five shutouts...competed in 16 of the Matadors' 20 matches...after only one season Abalos is now tied for ninth place with Mike Littman with five career shutouts and has tied Joe Barton (2001) and Mike Littman (1989) for seventh place with his five shutouts earned in a single season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Santa Margarita Catholic High School...earned two letters as the goalkeeper for the Eagles during their 2006 and 2007 CIF Championship seasons..during the '07 season, Abalos was named the starting 'keeper and was named team captain as voted on by his teammates.
