Denard brings a decade of experience with him to educate, advocate and mentor athletes for success in the ring, on the runway, in the classroom and in life.
Sean has coached athletes who have won six NCAA Titles and finished Top-10 at the NCAA Championships 51 times. Denard’s athletes have also earned Academic All-American awards 22 times.
On average, his top-five men’s and top-five women’s shot putters have added over seven feet to their high school bests, discus throwers gain over 20 feet, hammer throwers over 35 feet, both javelin throwers and weight throwers have added 15 feet to their personal bests.
Denard has facilitated several elite training groups which have featured throwers who have competed at the last 3 Olympics; during their time together athletes have won 5 National Titles and Finished in the Top-10 25 Times at their National Championship competition.
Most recently, in 2021, Denard’s protege, Sean Donnelly qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the Men’s Hammer with the 6th furthest throw in American history at 79.27m.
Additionally, 16 of Denard’s former athlete’s/volunteer assistants have coached at the collegiate level, twice winning USTFCCCA Coach of the year honors and 5 times coaching their own athletes to national championships.
Denard is a USATF Level II, USAW Level II, USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning certified Throws, Jumps, Pole Vault, Olympic Weightlifting, Speed Specialist and Strength Coach who, as a college student athlete, earned NCAA All-American Honors in the Discus while also assisting his football team to the 2008 NCAA National Title. In 2020 Denard was named to Mount Union’s All-Decade Team.
