OUTDOOR: Butler competed in 11 total outdoor meets ... qualified for the NCAA First Round in the discus, reaching 52.11m (170-11) to place 37th overall (5/29/26) ... finished 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.85m (179-11) at the Big West Championships (5/15/26) ... established a PR in the shot put of 15.50m (50-10.25) to finish seventh at the Titan Tune-Up (5/8/26) ... posted a PR in the discus of 56.77m (186-3) to take third place at the Steve Scott Invitational (5/2/26) ... his discus mark of 56.77m ranks fifth-best in school history ... set a PR in the hammer of 57.23m (187-9), finishing sixth at the Steve Scott Invitational (5/1/26).Â
INDOOR: Competed in three indoor meets ... scored and finished fourth overall in the weight throw, setting a PR of 18.28m (59-11.75) at the MPSF Championships (3/1/26) ... took fifth place in the weight throw with a mark of 16.65m (54-7.5) at the Nevada Invitational (1/16/26).Â

Butler spent two seasons at Riverside City College from 2023-25 ... won the discus at the 2025 3C2A State Championships with a toss of 52.94m (173-8) while he took fifth place in the shot put ... his holds PR's of 53.74m (176-4) in the discus and 15.37m (50-5.25) in the shot put ... attended Martin Luther King High School and graduated in 2023 ... spent time on his high school track & field, football (defensive end) and basketball (forward) ... was a state champion in track & field in 2022 ... earned all-league honors in football.Â

Son of Ron and Ericka Butler ... he has two brothers, Jeremiah and Elijah ... favorites include the San Francisco 49ers, Fred Warner, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence, the tv show "Stranger Things," the film "Space Jam," New Edition and Drake ... favorite food is chicken ... chose CSUN because it felt like family to him, the school's coaching and it was the right fit ... lists winning state in the discus as his favorite sports moment ... says the best thing about being the athlete is getting to compete along with being active ... lists his dad as his hero.
