Ryan Mason begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Matadors in 2018.

A veteran of two seasons of club volleyball and one season of high school volleyball, Mason joins Jeff Campbell's staff as second assistant. Mason most recently was the head girls volleyball coach for the Supernova All-Stars (2014-15 and 2015-16) where he worked with the 15's and 18's squads. 12012

In 2013-14, Mason was the boys varsity coach at Hart High School in Valencia.

Mason was a part of the CSUN men's volleyball program as a setter from 2010-15 including a redshirt year in 2011. He appeared in four matches and six sets in 2013, primarily as a serving specialist, and recorded a pair of digs. Mason had one dig against BYU ad one at UC Irvine.

A native of Torrance, CA, Mason competed in both volleyball and basketball at Saugus High School in Saugus, CA. He was a first team All-Foothill League setter in 2009 and 2010. Was the team captain for the Centurians who finished 13-7 over his final two seasons before graduating in 2010 with a 3.5 grade point average.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from CSUN in 2015 and is currently in the Master's program at Concordia University in Irvine.
