Started in 14 games in the net for the Matadors as their primary goalie… Tallied a team leading 43 saves… Accumulated 1,260 minutes on the field… Notched two shutouts against James Madison (8/22) and Pacific (9/05)... Tallied a season high six saves against Seattle U (9/27)
CSUN - 2023 (Freshman)
Cook appeared in seven matches, starting the final six games of the season in goal as a freshman ... posted a 0.81 goals-against-average, 18 saves and a .783 save percentage in 555 minutes in goal ... went unbeaten in his six starts (2-0-4) while posting two shutouts, all of which in Big West play ... earned his first career shutout and tallied four saves in a win at UC Irvine (10/14/23) ... racked up a season-high six saves in a draw with UC Santa Barbara (10/21/23) ... picked up another shutout in a scoreless draw at UC Riverside (10/28/23).

A 2022 graduate of Servite High School … selected first team All-CIF and Trinity League Defensive MVP as a senior as team won 2022 CIF D1 Championship … kept JSerra off the board in penalty kicks in the championship match … led team to a 24-2-2 record and ninth consecutive Trinity League title in 2022 … named first team All-League and Trinity League Defensive MVP on the way to a 10-1 record as a junior … team won the Southern Section Championship, and advanced to CIF-SS D1 semifinals for second year in a row in 2021 … a two-time Trinity League Defensive MVP selection … CLUB EXPERIENCE: Played for Culver City of the UPSL.

Son of John and Kim Cook … favorites include Chelsea FC, Eric Berry, Tim Howard, Denzel Washington, Zendaya, Outer Banks, Friday, Man on Fire, The Godfather, Pasta, Boys II Men, Lil Baby, Gunna, Swae Lee, Drake, The Notorious B.I.G, and Instagram … chose CSUN because it seems like a great environment with great coaches and friendly people … says greatest sports moment so far is going to Pks in the CIF Final and saving the first three pks to win the game … says the best thing about being an athlete is getting to play the sport you love … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is learning how to manage time between playing and getting things done … says the best athlete he has played against is Klay Thompson … the most famous person he has met is Val Kilmer … the person in history he would like to meet is Martin Luther King, Jr. ... would like to switch places for one day with Drake … the two people he would like to have dinner with is Jesus and his grandfather … says the best advice he has been given is don’t take anything or anyone for granted ... his advice to young people is that hard work pays off … says his greatest hero is his grandfather because he always pushed him to become the greatest version of himself and taught him a lot of things like nothing in life comes easy.
