Ivan Alzate returns back to sidelines at CSUN as he joins the women's soccer staff for the 2016-17 year. An accomplished player and veteran coach, Alzate has previously assisted on the coaching staff for both the women's soccer and men's soccer teams in the past.

Along with his coaching stints with CSUN, Alzate accumulated many coaching accomplishments in the club soccer. Alzate graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High in Miami in 1984, where he played high school soccer and was named to the All-County team three years in a row.

Alzate then played for Miami Dade Community College, where he earned his A.A. degree before transferring to CSUN and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chicano Studies.
