2015 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 34 games and made 24 starts...batted .343 with 10 runs, 23 hits, three doubles, three home runs, 15 RBIs and 15 walks...recorded a season-high three hits in a win at Pacific Mar. 20...scored a season high two runs twice...had a season high three RBIs at Grand Canyon Feb. 22...blasted home runs against Grand Canyon, Connecticut and against San Diego State in the NCAA Tournament...added a double in the Matadors’ regional game against the Aztecs.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of West Hill High School...coach was Mike Applebaum...played four years of softball...served as a team captain for three seasons...named to her league’s first team and first team All-CIF in all four of her seasons...named to the 2014 All-State Team...helped lead her team to three straight league titles and a CIF title in 2011.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Shuree and John Horne...majoring in criminology...has two brothers: Matt and Kevin...favorites include the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch league, Derek Jeter, Jennifer Lawrence and “Pretty Little Liars”...says the best advice she has ever received was “be who you are and love who that is”...cannot imagine going a week without playing softball or listening to music.
