2015 (SENIOR): Appeared in 12 games and made nine starts as a position player or DP...batted .280 with seven hits, four RBI and six walks...had a season high two hits against Hawai’i on May 1 and 2...drove in an RBI in four different games...appeared in 11 games as a pitcher, making six starts...finished 2-2 with a 3.36 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 25 innings of work...was the winning pitcher against Stanford and Buffalo...fanned a career high 11 batters in a complete-game win over Buffalo...finished CSUN career 5-6 with a 3.61 ERA and 33 Ks in 64 innings of work...selected Academic All-Conference.
2014 (JUNIOR): Played in 14 games made six starts during her junior season...a two-way threat, made 14 appearances and nine starts in the circle...finished the year at 3-4 with a 3.77 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 39 innings...picked up first win as a Matador with five innings and five strikeouts against Seattle...earned a win over CSU Bakersfield with six innings and three strikeouts...third and final win came in relief work against UC Riverside...at the plate, had two doubles, a home run and three RBI...homered in a victory over Toledo.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Appeared in 14 games and went 3-2 in the circle over two seasons with the San José State...went 3-1 in 23.1 innings of work in 2012.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Colony High School...earned four letters in softball at Colony High School (Ontario, Calif.)...coach was Anthony Rice...a four-time first team All-Mt. Baldy League honoree...helped lead the team to its first ever league championship in 2010...league MVP and All-Valley selection as a junior after posting a 1.20 ERA and batting .340...a scholar-athlete all four years...played club softball for Pure Fastpitch and head coach Bill Jackson.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Carol and John Sauceda...majoring in journalism...has a sister, Jeanette, and a brother, John...favorites include the LA Dodgers, Michael Jordan, Brad Pitt and “Breaking Bad”...her advice to young people is “enjoy the good times, work through the hard times and don’t take anything for granted”...lists her parents as her greatest heroes.
