2017 (SENIOR): Appeared in seven games and started three times in the circle...registered an 0-1 record to go along with a 9.41 ERA and four strikeouts in 9.2 innings...worked 4.0 innings and surrendered four runs vs. Sacramento State (Feb. 24...retired two batters in a relief appearance vs. UCLA (Apr. 26)...gave up a run in 1.1 innings at UC Davis (May 13).
2016 (JUNIOR): Pitched in 14 games and made five starts in the circle...finished 4-2 with a 5.20 ERA, 28 strikeouts and a .203 opponent batting average in 33.2 innings of work...picked up first career win as a Matador with five innings of work, including five strikeouts, against Utah State...posted a win over Boise State with five innings of relief...Earned a win with 6.2 innings vs. Charleston Southern and a career-high seven strikeouts...tossed a career-high seven innings in win at CSU Bakersfield...recorded a save in game two of doubleheader at CSU Bakersfield.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two years at Allan Hanock College playing for CSUN Hall of Famer Scia Maumausolo...earned NFCA All-American in 2015...named Western State Pitcher of the Year in 2014 and 2015...Helped lead her team to a pair of conference championships...set numerous strikeout and ERA records...graduated in 2015.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Righetti High School...played four years of softball for the Warriors...helped lead her team to a CIF Division III Championship in 2013.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kim and Rick Chenault... majoring in psychology...has one sister, Emiley, and two brothers, Codie and Kyle...favorites include the LA Angels and Mike Trout, “Family Guy” and Ed Sheeran...her advice to young people is “life is never easy, but always worth it”...cannot imagine going a week without coffee...lists her mom as her greatest hero because she is independent and strong willed.
