2007 Honorable Mention All-Conference
2008 (SENIOR): Selected honorable mention All-Conference...finished with a 19-14 record, a 2.87 ERA and 136 strikeouts..the 19 wins were the most by a Northridge pitcher since 2001 and the 136 strikeouts were 37 more than she posted in 2007...the 19 victories finished 51st in Division I...tossed two no-hitters in non-conference play (2/17 vs. San José State and 3/7 vs. North Dakota), becoming the first Matador to accomplish the feat since 1999...in Big West Conference action, Lovato finished 10-5 and lowered her ERA to 2.14...only she and Long Beach State's Brooke Turner, the Big West Pitcher of the Year, were the only Big West Conference pitchers to defeat every conference opponent this season...selected Academic All-Conference.
2007 (JUNIOR): Named honorable mention All-Conference...pitched in 35 games, making 24 starts...posted an overall record of 15-13 with a 3.24 ERA...tossed 14 complete games and one shutout while striking out 99 in 160 innings of work...limited opponents to a .254 batting average in 598 at-bats...teamed with Amanda Pitzenberger to no-hit UC Davis on May 12...started game against the Aggies, pitching 3.2 innings and striking out two...picked up first win of the season against BYU after striking out seven on Feb. 16...scattered seven hits while striking out four in seven innings to pick up win against Washington on Mar. 16...allowed just one hit in seven inning of scoreless action in win over Long Beach State on Mar. 31...struck out four in a complete game victory over UC Santa Barbara on Apr. 21...recorded a season high eight strikeouts in a complete game victory against UC Davis on May 11.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Played at the University of Illinois-Chicago for two seasons...appeared in 49 games in 2005 and 2006, making 29 starts...posted a 3.72 ERA and a 17-11 record in 38 appearances and 24 starts as a freshman...was named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 20, 2005 and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Wolfpack Challenge after going 4-0 with a 1.59 earned run average...had a complete-game victory against 15th-ranked Northwestern...helped the Flames to Horizon League regular-season titles both years.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Royal High School...earned first-team All-Marmonte League honors as a senior and was also named to the Los Angeles Daily News All-Star team...helped the Highlanders to a Marmonte League title in 2004...coached by Bill Dishon...graduated in 2004 with a 3.61 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Marilyn and Pres Lovato... majoring in communication studies...is one of eight children, ranking seventh in age...sisters are Nicole, Danielle, Shannon, Kelly and Gina...brothers are Mario and Darren...sister Kelly played softball at Sacramento State...father and sisters Danielle, Kelly and Shannon attended Northridge...favorites include the television show “Project Runway”, the movie “Boondock Saints” and the band Brand New...says the best thing about being an athlete is playing in front of your friends and family...dances, tells jokes and takes pictures when she has time to relax...would like to be stranded on a deserted island with Shakira so she could learn her dance moves...the best advice she has been given is “if you want something to get done, do it yourself”...can’t imagine going a week without laughing so hard that her abs hurt.
