Sardar competed in all five races as a true freshman ... ran a 6k time of 19:32.5 to finish with 46th-place points and 64th overall at the Big West Preview (9/1/23) ... posted a season-best 8k time of 25:07.2 to take 67th-place points and 78th overall at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (10/14/23) ... took 47th-place points and 48th overall at the Big West Championships with a time of 25:40.5 (10/27/23) ... ran a 10k time of 32:08.2 at the NCAA West Regional.

Son of Mahbub and Tahmina Sardar … favorites include Morocco in the 2022 World Cup, Kenenisa Bekele, Kevin Hart, Octavia Spencer, Attack on Titan, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith … his mom’s Biryani, and Google.com … chose CSUN because it was the most affordable school he got into and upon visiting, he felt like it is a place I can fit in and be successful … says greatest sports moment so far is finishing second at the 2021 CIF-SS D4 Cross Country Finals as a junior and resetting the course record at Mt. SAC with a time of 15:23 as he wasn’t aware of what he was capable of in such a competitive race until that day … says the best thing about being an athlete is your body and mind both have the amazing capability as a result … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is when you get good at the sport you do, people don't really see you as anything more than an athlete … says the best athlete he has competed against is Matthew Donis … the most famous person he has met is Evert Silva … the person in history he would like to meet is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) … the best advice he has been given is that life rewards those who can endure the most suffering … his advice to young people is work hard for your goals, but don't forget to have fun along the way … says his greatest hero is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), because he is a role model to all of us Muslims and I think everyone should try to be more like him.
