CSUN - 2022 (Sophomore)
Emily Sparks played in 32 of CSUN's 34 beach matches during her sophomore season ... tied for third on the team with 13 pairs wins, finishing 13-19 playing with Lauren Eknoian ... the pair earned honorable mention All-Big West honors for the first time ... finished with 13 wins overall which ranked eighth for the Matadors in 2022 ... finished 11-16 with Eknoian playing in the No. 1 pair and 2-3 playing at No. 2 ... the duo had a pair of season-long four-match win streaks (Mar. 17-18, Apr. 1-2) ... posted straight-set wins over Oregon (Feb. 26) at No. 2 and a pair of 2-0 wins over Nebraska (Mar. 17-18) ... heads into her junior season with 23 individual wins and a career record of 23-29 ... was one of eight Matadors named to the 2022 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2021 (Freshman)
Sparks played in 20 of CSUN's 26 beach matches during her freshman season ... played all 20 matches with True McCullough, finishing the season with a 10-10 record which ranked third on the team ... was one of three Matador teams to finish .500 on the season ... the pair played 16 matches at No. 5, finishing 9-7 while also playing once at No. 4 (0-1) and three times in the No. 6 exhibition match (1-2) ... the duo posted a 7-6 dual match record and a 3-4 tournament record ... fell to Hawai'i (2-0) in the opener of the Big West Tournament on Apr. 30 before defeating both Sacramento State's and CSU Bakersfield's No. 5 pairs to finish 2-1 at the conference championship ... seven of the pairs' 10 wins came by 2-0 scores.

Sparks lettered as a setter/opposite at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. ... earned first team All-Sunset League honors as a senior in 2019 and second team all-league honors as a junior ... also garnered second team All-Orange County accolades ... was a team captain for the Chargers as a senior in 2019 ... graduated in 2020.

Lindsey plays beach volleyball at UCLA ... her mother played volleyball at UC Irvine and father attended Cal Poly Pomona ... favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, the movies "Step Brothers" and "Monsters, Inc." and ramen ... says she chose CSUN because "Coach Rooke made it feel like home the minute I stepped on campus" ... lists "Eating a chocolate croissant from Starbucks" as her pre-game ritual ... majoring in mathematics.
