Dr. Mark P. Otten will begin his sixth season as support staff for the CSUN women’s tennis team in 2024-25.
Otten has also volunteered as a coach and advisor for UCLA Club Tennis for 18 years, leading them to USTA Tennis on Campus national championships in 2011 and 2019. From 2003-2007, he was a member of the same team, which finished 4th in the nation in 2004 and 2005.
Otten in his 17th year as a full-time faculty member in the CSUN Department of Psychology. Otten’s teaching and research focuses on sport performance, sport and exercise psychology and statistics.
Originally from Davis, Calif., Otten earned his B.A. in statistics from UC Davis in 2001, and his Ph.D in psychology from UCLA in 2007.
