10 Matadors Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

NORTHRIDGE, Calif --- Ten members of the CSUN Women's Tennis program collected Division I Women's Scholar-Athlete honors while the Matadors received All-Academic recognition by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on July 21. As a team, CSUN also earned All-Academic Team accolades.Â

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, individuals must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Teams can be named to the ITA All-Academic Team by achieving a program cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.

Earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors this year were Elena Goodman, Tallia Harper, Angela Ho, Jacqueline O'Neill, Annette Robertson, Madison Shepperson, Vitoria Solis Urdiales, Nicole West, Sydney Wilson, and Yuliia Zhytelna.Â

As a team, CSUN posted a cumulative GPA of 3.60 in earning ITA All-Academic Team honors. The Matadors have received All-Academic Team accolades 11 times in team history.

In 2025, 1,462 Division I women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 222 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
