2019 (SENIOR): Named honorable mention All-Conference in both singles and honorable mention All-Conference in doubles with Skylar Alcon…went 5-10 in the No. 1 singles slot…posted a 7-3 doubles record with Alcon…would end up charting a 9-5 total doubles mark playing with three different partners…named Academic All-Conference...earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
2018 (JUNIOR): Earned second team All-Conference in singles and second team All-Conference honors in doubles with Skylar Alcon...played in the No. 1 singles position for the Matadors for the entire season and posted a 4-11 record...led team in doubles victories with Alcon at 9-6.
2017 (SOPHOMORE): Selected Academic All-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete for Utah State…earned USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors…went 16-16 in singles play, 7-9 in dual matches…charted a 9-14 doubles record, playing with three partners…won the Blue Draw doubles title at the Utah State Aggie Invite with Lucy Octave.
2016 (FRESHMAN): Selected Academic All-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete for Utah State…earned USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors…recorded a 17-14 singles mark, 11-9 in dual meets…was 3-1 in Mountain West play…tallied a 9-12 doubles record (4-5 in duals) playing with four different partners.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Don Brasco Groot-Bijaarden High School…participated in swimming, tennis, and track.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Luc Van de Vondel and Lea Alaerts…a sport studies major…both mother (100m, 1976) and father (1988, swimming) competed for Beligum in the Summer Olympics…favorites include the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Zookeepers Wife, and Chris Brown…says the best thing about being an athlete is being able to travel around the United States…the best advice she has been given is “Live in the Moment, forget about the past or the future.”..she can’t imagine going a week without calling her father.
