Olympia Jewett joins the CSUN Track & Field Staff for the 2017 season after a successful Matador career of her own. A former Big West Champion in the heptathlon, Jewett will work with the multi-event athletes and jumpers.

In 2015, Jewett had a sensational outing at the Big West Championships. She outlasted teammate Shanwta Barnes for the top stop in the heptathlon. The Matadors took the top three spots at the podium in the event en route to their ninth Big West Championship. She added to that a fifth-place finish in the 100m-hurdles, triple jump and long jump and an eighth-place mark in the high jump. For her performance, she was named the 2015 Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Year.

Before her championship-winning performance in 2015, Jewett had a third-place finish as a sophomore and sixth-place result as a junior in the heptathlon. She also finished fifth in the triple jump as a sophomore.

Jewett graduated from CSUN in 2015 with a degree in Education.
