OUTDOOR: Reset career bests in the 1500m and the 3000m at the May 2 CSUN Challenge...ran 5:11.93 in the 1500m to finish seventh...posted an 11:39.07 in the 3000m to place fifth...charted a season best 5000m team of 19:29.23 to come in 17th...was ninth in the 3000m (11:55.14) at the Northridge Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Recorded career best 5k time at the Highlander Invitational (20:28.10)...tallied career best 6k time when she finished 65th at the Big West Championship (24:24.80).
2014 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Competed in three events...ran the 5000m twice with a best time of 19:46.83 coming at the Trojan Invitational Mar. 22...her 11:40.58 in the 3000m occurred at the Fresno State Bulldog Invitational Apr. 26.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Posted season best 6k time at the UC Riverside Invitational (25:36.60)...charted season best 5k time 20:40.70 at the UC Riverside Invitational...finished 70th at the Big West Championship (6k, 27:27.20).
PRIOR TO CSUN: Competed for two seasons at Bakersfield College...earned her associate of arts degree in 2013 with a 3.5 grade point average.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Tehachapi High School...competed in both soccer and softball...was a four-year starter for the Warriors' soccer team as a forward...played outfield for the softball squad...graduated with a 3.3 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kari Blackburn and stepfather is Ray Blackburn...major is speech-language pathology...has one older brother, Ricky...favorites include the New York Giants, the TV shows "Revenge", "Parenthood" and "Breaking Amish", the movie "Dirty Dancing" and the music of The Band Perry...lists John F.Kennedy as the one person in history she would like to meet.
