2015 (R-SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Won the Big West Championships' long jump title with a leap of 19-7...advanced to the NCAA West Regional where she finished 26th in the preliminary round with a wind-aided jump of 19-7 1/2...was second in the heptathlon at the Big West Championship by scoring 4980 points...won 3-of-7 events during the heptathlon...finished 11th at the Big West Championship in the high jump (5-1 1/4) and 13th in the javelin (95-5)...ran career best 200m time of :24.81 to finish fifth at the CSUN Invitational.
INDOOR: Posted indoor season bests in the 60m (:7.82), 200m (:25.70), and long jump (17-6 3/4) during the preliminaries of the MPSF Championship.
2014 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the year as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
2013 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth in the long jump at the first Big West Championship...was just off the podium after posting a season best jump of 19-5 1/2...her jump was the best by a Matador in 2013...finished 16th in the prelims of the 100m at the Big West Championship in a time of :12.36...top 100m time of the season was :12.30 at the Mt. SAC Relays (Apr.20)
INDOOR SEASON: Finished seventh with a best of 18-7.75 at the MPSF Championship...was 16th in the preliminaries of the 60m where she was 16th in a season-best :7.67...also clocked a :7.67 in the 60m at the NYU Team Challenge (Jan. 19)...ran in the 200m prelims of the MPSF's placing 20th in :25.06...top 200m time of :24.90 came at the Texas A&M Invitational (Feb. 9)...charted a season-best :8.93 in the 60m hurdles at the UW Invitational (Jan. 26).
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons (2011-12) at East Los Angeles College...competed in the multi-events and was also a sprinter for coach Louis Ramirez...as a two-time CCCAA All-America and broke school records in the heptathlon, javelin and the 100 and 200 meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Bell Gardens High School...the Lancers won the Almont League track & field championship in 2007...also earned MVP, all-league accolades for the basketball team which went undefeated in league play all four years.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Luz'Celia Quinones and Richard Barnes...a sociology major...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt, actor Johnny Depp and pasta... says the best thing about being an athlete is "traveling and achieving new goals" and the toughest is "time management."
