CSUN - 2024 (R-Sophomore)
Iye Okolo appeared in all 29 matches and 114 of CSUN's 116 sets in her second season ... started all 29 matches at middle blocker ... ranked fourth on the team with 157 kills, hitting .238 on 370 attacks ... her hitting percentage ranked second only to Leah Miller's .247 ... also ranked second on the team in total blocks with 82.0, which included nine solo blocks and 73 block assists to rank 19th in the Big West in blocks per set (0.72) ... also contributed 20 digs and three assists on the season ... posted double figures in kills twice, posting a career-high 12 vs. UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 28) and adding 10 kills in CSUN's 3-1 win over Portland (Sept. 21) ... took a career-high 22 swings in the season opener vs. Seattle (Aug. 30) ... posted a season-high nine blocks at UC Irvine (Oct. 4) and notched a season-high two digs in five different matches .... was one of four Matador student-athletes named to the 2024 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2023 (R-Freshman)
Okolo appeared in 23 matches and 79 sets in her first season on the active roster ... made 20 starts at middle blocker ... finished the season with 77 kills (0.97 kps) on 211 swings to hit .204 ... was the team's fourth leading blocker with 53 total blocks ... ranked second on the team with 11 solo stuffs ... also finished the season with 21 digs and a pair of assists ... put down a season-high eight kills on 14 attacks without an error to hit .571 at UC Riverside (Nov. 11) ... hit a season-high .667 with six kills on nine errorless swings against UTRGV (Sept. 15) ... reached double figures for the first time in her collegiate career with 10 total blocks against UC Riverside (Sept. 29) ... was one of three Matadors named to the 2023 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2022 (Freshman)
Okolo redshirted her first collegiate season at CSUN in 2022.
ETIWANDA HIGH SCHOOL
Okolo lettered all four years in volleyball at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. ... played middle blocker for the Eagles and coach Savannah Flores ... was named Most Valuable Player of the Mountain View Tournament in 2021 and earned a silver medal at the 2019 Las Vegas Classic ... graduated in 2022.

Born in Harbor City, Calif. ... parents are Christy and Edward Okolo... has one brother, Yolumi and two sisters, Romiwa and Keliojo ... favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, the TV show "All American" and the movie "Mean Girls" ... says she chose CSUN because "I loved the coaching staff, team chemistry and it's close to home" ... says the toughest thing about being a student-athlete is "having to deal with injuries and and trying to recover from them" ... says the best advice she's been given is "stay true to yourself and never change for anyone" ... undecided on a college major.
