Nicole Jarvis appeared in 24 matches and 70 sets in her freshman season ... earned 15 starts in middle ... finished the season with 70 kills (1.00) while hitting .202 in 188 attacks ... was fifth on the squad in blocks with 57 (0.81 bps) but was third in solo blocks with seven ... matched her season-high with seven kills (.417) in the Matadors’ 3-2 win over Long Beach State (Nov. 19) ... also had seven kills against Northern Colorado (Aug. 28) at the Aztec Invitational ... posted a season-high seven total blocks to go with five kills at Cal Poly

Born August 12, 1992 in Oxnard, Calif. ... parents are Nancy and Lonnie Jarvis ... has one younger brother, Matt ... her mother is a CSUN graduate while her father attended UCLA ... chose Northridge over UC Irvine, San Diego State and Virginia Tech among others ... favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, actor Johnny Depp, the TV show “True Blood” and artists Drake and Lil Wayne ... chose to play for the Matadors because she “wanted to play in a competitive conference in southern California” ... also played for the SportsShack club team that came in first place in the Far West Qualifier in 2010 ... major is Communication Studies.
